It's hard to choose a single great memory of Drew…

It's hard to choose a single great memory of Drew, but doing something as simple as eating with him was always enjoyable. If we were in the dining hall, we would be constantly getting seconds, thirds, fourths, and even more bowls of mac and cheese or plates of pancakes. Talking on the way up to grabbing food, and then on the way back to our table, those are the small moments that shouldn't be overlooked with someone who had such a large presence in all of our lives.

Going out for food with Drew was arguably even better than eating in. If he was trying something new that he hadn't eaten before, his reactions would enlighten the table. His "oooooo yeah" or "wow," which may seem like a small reaction to some, are so distinct that I'm sure we can all hear him saying it in our heads. Even better is when he would scrunch up his face when he didn't really like something. His expressiveness, whether good or bad, really lightened up the room.

And then there are snacks. The fact that he could eat an entire tray of oreos in a sitting is both startling and amazing to see.  You feel as though you look away for just a moment and then the pack is empty. I'm sure he got tired of us always talking about him eating oreos, but if you were to ask any of us what's an iconic Drew snack I'm sure we'd all have the same answer.

How can we talk about Drew and food and not bring up pizza. He could've one day said he married a pizza and not a single person would blink an eye. He wanted to own his own pizzeria one day, and whether that statement was made as a joke or not, I think that it was a beautiful dream.

There are a lot of memories we all share of Drew. He was a fantastic guy that touched all of us. While there are a lot of large moments that truly paint the picture of Drew Pelusi, it's nice to reflect on some of the smaller pictures. They're some of the best memories I'll be holding onto.

I hope whenever we think of him it's of the moments that make us smile, because they would've made him smile too.
