I still think of Drew often and struggle with the thought…
Dear Pelusi family,
I still think of Drew often and struggle with the thought of his passing, but it doesn't surpass the amazing memories we all had with him.
He was one of the first friends I made in college and one of the few I stayed close with all 4 years and even afterwards. I wish I could relive it with all him again: our 2 years in Warren then 2 at Egmont, picking out Biggie posters together, listening to his beats and suggesting songs he could sample, 2AM Domino's and T Anthony's runs, helping him move into the Egmont apartment and getting lost at IKEA, binging Gossip Girl, being asked to slap him if he ate too many chicken tenders, playing D&D, making Annie's mac and cheese way too often together, being invited over to your house for a home-made meal, seeing him zoom by me on Comm Ave on his skateboard, staying up to watch YouTube mystery videos and playing Super Smash Bros, listening to his Hackathon ideas, looking at pictures of Rocky, stories about travelling and meeting long-lost family at the airport, watching him recycle the same 3 t-shirts over and over again. I wish he could have gone on to live his dream: supposedly moving to Italy to sell American-style pizzas. We all joked that we would have been his first (and only) customers.
I wish I didn't have to miss him so much. I can't imagine how much harder it must be for you all. I'm keeping you in my thoughts, and I hope this serves as a reminder that Drew's memory will never leave. We still love him dearly.
