Doing the simplest of things…

Doing the simplest of things was far from normal when we were together, Drew. Whether it was jumping on each other in the playground at Ambrose, rushing home to play in the vines in the Glenn in middle school, or biking around Winchester together during the ever-so-freeing high-school summers.

Objectively, these were simple things to be doing, however when I was with you, I felt on top of the world. I've been thinking about the days when we would play get to the base with Anna & Jake (and inevitably you would be attacking them 5 minutes into the game).. the nights where we would be playing mario cart until 1am and would have to rush to turn everything off when we heard your dad’s footsteps coming downstairs.

We surely had our childhood fun but was more impressive was your humility in terms of your coding genius. I remember Mason coming home from coding camp with you saying you were miles ahead of everyone... I remember the games you would make in a single night that were better than most games professionals would make. Every time I praised you, you just shrugged it off. It was crazy to me that the same person I landed on from 10 feet up in the playground 15 years prior was now running through 10000 lines of code in half a day.

I remember us brainstorming app ideas in our Cambridge apartment. The thought of us working together not only sounded ideal because of your genius but also because I wanted to carry on my adventurous spirit into adulthood... and it only felt right to do it with you by my side.

Your adventurous spirit was admirable and you played a major role in my life & helped me to develop into the person I am today.

I love you Drew...

To the Pelusi's:

I understand life will never be the same. I understand it got extremely hard during our time living in Cambridge. I just want to say thank you for helping us through such a tough time and working together with me, Cristiano & Mason to try to help Drew. There's no blueprint for what Drew was going through. But I do think we all tried our best to help him. There will never be a time where I don't think about him and never a day where I don't carry his spirit with mine.

I am so glad you (Mr. Pelusi) & Drew stopped by Louis' house to sell us popcorn while Drew was in the cub scouts ~ 15 years ago. I've never met someone I've been so comfortable being around, he truly felt like a brother.

I am here and will continue to be here for you all. I will gladly recount stories & keep Drew's memory alive with you, family, or whomever.

I would love to help Jake & Anna through this in any way I can. I always had a great time hanging around them

Love,

Alec
